I've been hearing of a number of KPA-1500s going kaput lately on 
other reflectors (most seem to drop to half power, one wouldn't turn 
on, another dropped to just 100 watts output), as well as a whole lot 
of Steppirs going bad. Some guys are now apparently looking for 
alternatives to Steppirs.

For powah, I prefer thermionic devices  8-D
