[SCCC] Question about N1MM and SSB

I experienced the exact same issue yesterday, and was not able to solve
it when using the onboard Realtek sound device.  I tried everything I
could think of.  I could never see the microphone level control in
speaker/levels.  It has worked fine on SSB in the past, but something
has changed and I don't have any more time to look at it before the contest.

This morning I plugged in an el cheapo usb sound device that I've had
kicking around for about 20 years, and it played right off the bat.
