I received this info last week.  You can see the antenna and tower  with
Google Maps.

Tubular tower. Rotator on top.

The tower/antenna is in Torrance.

N6WGD was my father's call sign.  He passed away 15 years ago. At one
time he was an emergency coordinator for the Hollywood Riviera area.  I
have no idea of the condition of the antenna tower since it has been
sitting outside.  The antenna is located at 5501 Calle de Ricardo in
Torrance (near Rocketship Park) so the antenna is not located overly
close to the beach.  You can reach me at 415-710-1973 if you wish to
take a look at it.

I am Christine Dougherty and my father, Mars Baumgardt, was a ham radio
operator (N6WGD) in the Torrance/Redondo Beach/Palos Verdes area before
he passed away.  I would like to donate/give my father’s ham radio
antenna to someone rather than having to take it to the recycler.  When
it is cranked down, the antenna is two stories high.  I have not idea
how high it goes when it is cranked up.  If you or someone you know is
interested in obtaining the radio tower antenna, please contact me.  I
am not looking for compensation, I only want the antenna to go to a good
home.

Thanks,

Christine Dougherty
