So far, lots of SSB out there in both the Southland and Arizona on and
around 144.2, but absolutely nobody else seems to know CW. There's even
a bunch of strong wobbly-wobb signals hanging around 144.175, both
barely out of the noise, as well as several as strong as S9. I CQed
endlessly both toward my west (LA/northern OC) as well as more southerly
toward south OC/SD, and northerly toward SB and the SF Bay area, but
haven't heard anything from the south yet. I thought I heard someone
from the north one time but while I was trying to peak the antler on
them, either they faded away or they didn't call again. Nothing from the
LV area yet. Basically a repeat of January.

But absolutely nobody else seems to know CW.

I'll give it another try in the morning but things so far don't look
good to make any 144 MHz QSOs. I didn't catch any openings on 50 MHz
today but did hear K5AM CQing on 50.099 on a long meteor burst. I didn't
hear him reply to my call, though.
