[SCCC] 1st XMTR

We were too poor to afford something as expensive as a Heathkit or any commercial product. 
My first transmitter was a HOMEBREW using parts from busted radio receivers people had thrown out in the garbage 
It took days of searching at the garbage dump to find all the parts.  

My second transmitter was a used  Italian Geloso that a ham was selling for the princely sum of C$45
Skipped a lot of meals so I could save the $$ to buy it...

(Yes, I know, Apache is also a modern-day SDR radio name  8-)
