[SCCC] DXpedition In a Box tonight on RATPAC

It was a good presentation for those that couldn't attend. They've minimized the footprint from 12 people and a small city, to a landing craft and a couple of antennas.

What some might find controversial, which one person on the call appeared to, is that they utilize remote operators via the internet. A team of 20-30 people from 10 countries can remotely log into the Flex radios and operate them from the comfort of their home. This is how they reduce the footprint to be able to get onto islands where operators are generally turned away from. It also greatly reduces the cost of operating one of these as they don't have to bring a small city with them.

Very interesting concept. As someone who operates their own systems remotely (usually from another room in the house or from within my city), I was quite fascinated by the scale and tech used to make this happen.

If you can find the recording, it is worth a watch. The presentation is about 30 minutes or so with Q&A after.
