I operated the 160 meter contest remotely from near Williams, Arizona.
My station in the California desert has become very noisy; during
CQ WW CW I was listening to 80 from there and it sounded near dead.
Lots of noise, a few stations barely rising above it. I listened from
Arizona and 80 sounded a lot like 20, alive with signals from all
over. Doesn't hurt that I have a full size NE beverage on our
Arizona property, along with 3 "BOG" antennas in other directions.

At any rate, 160 sounded great during the contest, and I was able to
work the majority of stations I heard. It was clear some had their
own QRN to contend with (strong but unable to copy me). Best DX was
getting a call from CR3DX when I was CQing. I heard a G4 but he
unsurprisingly couldn't hear me.

about 30 feet over 16 short and a few longer radials.
