                    North American QSO Party, CW - January Call: W6PHOperator(s): W6PHStation: W6PH Class: Single Op LPQTH: Lone Pine CAOperating Time (hrs): 7.5 Summary:Band  QSOs  Mults-------------------  160:    0    0  80:    0    0  40:  56    33  20:  214    46  15:  200    46  10:  310    46-------------------Total:  780  171  Total Score = 133,380 Club: Southern California Contest Club Team: SCCC #2 Comments: K3S DXLog10 meter 5 el yagi at 60 feetA3S at 40 feet40-2CD at eight feetI went into this NAQP planning a single band 10 meters as my 10m yagi is theonly good antenna I currently have.  My A3S has been very intermittent with ahigh SWR.  After 10m faded out I put some power into the A3S and the SWR wasaround 1.5 on both 15 and 20.  I was having great fun with good conditions andgetting good responses.  When 20 faded I put some power into my 40-2CD which isnested at 8 feet above the desert floor.  Unbelievably I was making contacts allover the US.  I quit after 7.5 hours because I had told my wife that I was onlygoing to be on the air for a couple hours.  It has been awhile since I operatedthe NAQP.  I am sorry I have missed it.  One lowlight.  The shack was at 50Fwhen I started.  I started a small space heater and got the temperature up to62F by the end.  Without an amplifier to heat the shack, it was pretty cold.  Iended up with a nasty cold on Sunday.Kurt W6PH  Posted using 3830 Score Submittal Forms at: http://www.3830scores.com/
