CAC has been tasked with reviewing the multiplier lists for ARRL contests that use sections and RAC sections for multipliers. Some contests, like Sweepstakes, are declining in participation. I am looking for feedback on two questions. You can respond to me at mikekc7v at gmail.com.
1. Should ARRL continue to use the ARRL and RAC sections as multipliers in certain contests or whether to change to some other multiplier list for these events. The biggest concern with continuing to use sections as multipliers is adding more sections that have relatively few hams in them making achieving clean sweep in Sweepstakes increasingly more difficult and maybe impossible during some events.
2. Another question is whether it is important to make a clean sweep in Sweepstakes a reasonably accessible goal or is it acceptable to make it increasingly more difficult to achieve by having multipliers that have few or no active ham stations in them.
Here is a list of available multipliers for contests in question.
