K3S SPE 1.3K DXLog (SO1R)
A3S at 40 feet
40-2CD at 60 feet with 80m sloper below it
I started on 15 and had a 101 first hour. 15 continued to be a great band
for
me followed by 40 meters. I had a neighbor kid help me raise my 40-2CD
AB-577
on Thursday and it worked great. Sunday was a slug. I had one 30/hr and
the
rest around 25/hr. I did run across the VO2AC pileup on 15. It was too
unruly
to even try despite VO2AC doing a great job. In past SS I have always had
a VO1
answer a CQ. Not this year. VY1CO did a great job proving TER. The only
US
section with one contact was NNY (Tnx WW2Y) I had multiple calls from ND,
SD,
WY, and NE which are usually sparse. 80 meters wasn't really needed because
all the local sections called in on 40 meters. Still a fun contest. 73,
Kurt
