[SCCC] N1MM+ Config File??

I'm asking here before going to the actual N1MM+ groups.io reflector
because I suspect people here are more likely to respond positively.

The other nite, my HP laptop, running W10 Home, crashed while I was
running N1MM+ plus a few other e-mail, browser, Winders Explorer, etc.
programs. My 120VAC went out; it was also powering my 22er monitor and
my laptop is situated such that you can't have it open to see its own
display when this happens. Being more worried about the cause of the
power failure, I just clean forgot to pull the laptop out and shut it
down myself before the battery ran down. Anyway... the laptop continued
to run off the battery for some time then apparently shut off; I was
actually watching it when I saw the HDD LED stop running then go out.

When I finally restored AC power, I found WInders did NOT automagically
restore any apps that I had been running. It simply came up with the
normal clean screen, and I had to re-open anything that I had had open
before. All of those programs did come up normally with no hiccups.

But when I did open N1MM+ later, I discovered that once again (the
laptop has crashed before), it apparently did NOT open my usual
configuration file, nor my usual database. As a result, I had to re-open
my database. That got my log back, but did not restore my original
configuration, which had two radio windows open plus the grayline "map",
and that little "Network Status" window. In addition, there was no
communication with my TS-890 radio, nor with my WinKeyer USB keyer. My
configuration seemed otherwise completely wiped out. Resetting the com
ports to what I recalled were being used before the crash did NOT
restore radio control nor the WinKeyer (yes, I did unplug then plugged
each one back in, several times, to no avail).

I will have to keep fiddling around with the network settings to get
radio and WinKeyer control back; but what I'm wondering is why N1MM+
does NOT automagically restore your configuration upon restoration from
a computer crash?? The only file I can find that has config in its name
is N1MMLogger.net.exe.config; and I'm very reluctant to just click on
that one in the blind hope it will restore my original configuration.

So, now what should I do?

And more importantly... how can I prevent this from happening again in
the future?

Why doesn't N1MM+ have some sort of "restoration" file that one can
easily call up to bring everything back when something like this happens
(or does it??)?
