Hi Steve,
Regarding your groups.io question: our sccc at contesting.com legacy mailing list is free, which is good for a club that charges no dues. Unfortunately, groups.io isn't free once you exceed 100 members (SCCC has 200+ members). I just looked at the pricing and it looks like it's something like $0.04/member/month, with a $20/month mininum fee.

Subject: [SCCC] WTB: SB-220 Rear Panel
Well, I'm going to swallow my pride, and ask for this help here, not
having found one elsewhere as yet.
I just bought a six-meter-only SB-220, and the seller unfortunately
shipped it lying on its back, reasoning that by having the heavy power
transformer, which is mounted right in the rear right corner, lying in
that corner, he would prevent that 900-pound gorilla from doing any
damage during shipping. Then he wrapped the whole amplifier in at least
six inches of bubble wrap... EXCEPT for the back, which only had two or
three inches at best.
So as you can imagine, that 900-pound gorilla collapsed most of that
bubblewrap, allowing the amplifier to ride on the circiit breakers, the
SO-239 connectors, and power cable. While internal damage appears to be
minimal, that poor rear panel got totally mangled (this reflector
doesn't allow attachments, or I'd include a pic of the mayhem here). The
shafts of both circuit breakers were broken off, natch (I've already
received replacements from amprepair.guy's newly-acquired Harbach
company). Some of the aluminum side supports and panels were slightly
bent, too, but are probly straightenable with a good pair of vicegrips
and slip-joint pliers.
I can straighten that panel somewhat, at least enough to make the amp
usable... but meanwhile, I've been searching for a replacement. e-Pay
has literally dozens and dozens of new or refurbished FRONT panels...
but I have yet to find a REAR panel. Would anybody happen to have a
good-shape SB-220 rear panel available?? (Of course, I'll pay handsomely
for one...)
TNX,
Steve K0XP
P.S. Has any thought been given by the multitudes to converting this
reflector to something like groups.io, so that we can attach
attachments?? Most other contest groups, like our nemesis AOCC, have
long gone that route by now!
