When I operate remote I get a bunch of high frequency hiss from the audio link that would be nice to knock down. Thanks, Mike W4EF..................... Too much hassle to determine reasonable prices, so they're free, although I prefer that they go to hams that have a use for them, rather than reselling them. > > 3 x Top Ten Devices Band Decoder > 1 x Icom IC-SP3 External Speaker > 2 x ICE Model 419 Band Pass Filter > 1 x Autek Research Model RF-1 RF Analyst > 1 x Industrial Communications Engineers Model 402X BCB Filter > 1 x Kantronics KPC-3 Packet Communicator 3 > 1 x MFJ Model 901B Versa Tuner > 1 x MFH Model 816 HF SWR Wattmeter > 1 x Timewave DSP 59+ Digital Noise Filter > 1 x JPS ANC-4 Noise Canceller > 1 x Palomar Engineers R-X Noise Bridge > 1 x Yaesu DVS-2 Digital Memory Recorder (use with FT-1000) > 1 x Heil Switchable 4/5 Element Microphone w/stand > 1 x AEA Pakratt 232 > 1 x MFJ Model 264 Dummy Load > 1 x Alinco DJ-569T VHF/UHF Dual Band FM Handheld > 1 x Alinco DR-1200 Data Radio > 1 x Kenwood TM-241A w/microphone > > Happy New Year! > > 73 de Bruce, WA7BNM (bhorn at hornucopia.com) > > _______________________________________________ > SCCC mailing list > SCCC at contesting.com > http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/sccc From NE6I at cox.net Thu Jan 1 10:57:47 2026 From: NE6I at cox.net (Dennis Younker NE6I) Date: Thu, 1 Jan 2026 07:57:47 -0800 Subject: [SCCC] SCCCORE - January 2026 Edition Now Available References: <000601dc7b37$6135dd50$23a197f0$.ref@cox.net> Message-ID: <000601dc7b37$6135dd50$23a197f0$@cox.net> Happy New Year! The January edition of SCCCORE (Southern California Contest Club Operations, Results and Enlightenments) is now available. The January poll and December poll results are also available. Bringing the new year in with a bang, we have five new videos for your viewing pleasure. The first is an interview with Dan, N6MJ by Q5 Ham Radio Worldwide discussing his CQWW DX CW world record performance at EF8R last October! Then we have six minutes of Dan preparing for the contest at the station, ripping through the contacts. Q5's interview with runner up Chris, KL9A who was at CQ9A for the contest is next. Q5 also interviewed Levi, K6JO discussing his ARRL Sweepstakes SSB win from KL9A's Montana station KM7W. Lastly, we have K5ZD and K5TR talking about "Mastering ARRL Sweepstakes." Enjoy! 73, Dennis NE6I www.SoCalContestClub.org From n6vi at socal.rr.com Thu Jan 1 14:02:40 2026 From: n6vi at socal.rr.com (Marty Woll) Date: Thu, 1 Jan 2026 11:02:40 -0800 Subject: [SCCC] Thanks, Dennis Message-ID: <002301dc7b51$3424b2e0$9c6e18a0$@socal.rr.com> I want to thank Dennis NE6I for consistently turning out an informative and well-put-together SCCC newsletter. I know this effort takes quite a bit of time, and I certainly appreciate it. Sorry I didn't post my CQWWDX-CW results sooner, but I ran 10m single-band high (sort of) power from St. Helena Island as ZD7VI. Claimed score was 832k with 2,164 QSOs, 100 countries and 30 zones. Looks like that will be (a distant) second place to Marko's winning operation at CW5W. Antenna was a single 4-element yagi at around 30 feet. It was great to work quite a few SCCC members at their home and away locations. I look forward to seeing many of you at the Santa Maria convention this April. 73, and Happy New Year! It goes all of January and has a sprint version in July. I did not see it on the contest calendar (probably because it's a month-long event). Good for SSB, CW, and Digi (FT8/4, RTTY, PSK) and good on **ALL** the bands (yes the WARC bands too). If you see call signs with "WWA" in them, that's for this contest.
