Just a reminder.
If you are not doing the NAQP SSB contest, and you have VHF capability, and
you aren't out enjoying this incredible January weather we are having in
SoCal, be sure to get on during the ARRL January VHF Contest this weekend!
While you may only work and help out locals on the various VHF bands, you
may be surprised by conditions! Often, we get some Es or TEP prop during
this contest and have a whole lot of fun! There is even an FM only category
so check that out if all you have is FM on 6m and up. And there is also
MSK144 meteor scatter at our disposal. You can work out to 1,500 miles on 6
meters on MSK!
If you are chasing grids and the FFMA award, this is a chance to add to your
totals. Many rovers go out on these contest weekends and help us grid
chasers out.
