V10.04 10 August 2003

SDI - IOTA Contest.
SDI lets you log any valid IOTA reference for
any station - the consistency check for
    continents has been dropped.

The display sequence for logging is changed.
The Serial Sent now appears after the callsign
logged. Also, for island stations, your own
IOTA reference is shown underneath the Serial
    Sent.

For mixed-mode entries, the Score window shows
multipliers, by mode, for each band.

When you include IOTA references in callsign
databases (.LST files), SDI extracts the
reference, if any, when the corresponding
callsign is entered. It's a good way to
identify potential multipliers from the lists
of DXpedition callsigns and island references
    published before each IOTA contest.

The IOTA reference can appear anywhere after
the callsign in the .LST records - for example
"GM3POI Clive EU009". Leading zeros in the
    reference may be omitted.

SDVCHECK - VHF Post-Contest program.
I've changed the sequence of the options, and
the accompanying text, to make it clear which
files should be submitted for RSGB entries.

SD/WIN:
Automatic loading of .LST callsign databases
at program startup not working. Fixed.

With BORDER=0, an 8-character contest name did
not always display in full. Fixed.

SDCHECK (DOS and WIN)
Support added for Cabrillo logs for RSGB Low
Power Field Day, and for the EU HF Championship.

SDCONFIG.TXT - Keying.
    I've introduced separate key calibration
parameters for SD/DOS and SD/WIN. This is
significant only if you choose to run SD/DOS
and SD/WIN from the same directory or folder.
In each case, the CALIBRATE command defines
the appropriate parameter, so that you'll not
have to re-calibrate the keyer each time you
    switch between SD/DOS and SD/WIN.

For information, with Windows 98, keying from
SD/WIN sounds better if you start the program
from a desktop icon, rather than by typing SD
    in a DOS window.

_______________________________________________________

I'd recommend that you choose between SD/WIN and SD/DOS
as the programs are named SD.EXE and SDCHECK.EXE in
each case. If you prefer to have access to both sets of
programs, then rename them as appropriate or store them
in separate directories/folders.

The programs may be downloaded from http://www.ei5di.com

Please let me know what you'd like to see in the next
update, and keep a copy of whatever version you're using
now - as insurance!

Paul EI5DI
