The UBA contest takes place from 1300 UTC Saturday 25th January
to 1300 UTC Sunday 26th January.

SDU is a contest logger developed specifically for this contest.
It's freeware, anyone can use the latest version available from
http://www.ei5di.com, and you can get a PDF version of the
manual from http://www.ei5di.com/sd/sd.pdf.

The contest is SSB only, on all bands, 80m to 10m, with the
rules at http://www.uba.be (follow the HF link). You'll see
this quote in the rules "We recommend the use of the SDU
software by EI5DI ..."

ON entrants - select SDU Type 19
DX entrants (outside ON) - select SDU Type 20

Work everyone, and exchange RST and Serial. ON stations will
also give their Province abbreviations. Multipliers are
Belgian provinces, Belgian prefixes, and DXCC countries in the
European Union (LA is not a multiplier). A single QSO with a
Belgian station may count as two multipliers - prefix and
province.

After the contest, use SDCHECK (included with SDU) to create
your summary file (.SUM), and complete this with any editor
or word processor. Do not use SDCHECK to create any .LOG
files, - the UBA prefers the "raw" .ALL file from SDU. Rename
your files to YOURCALL.ALL and YOURCALL.SUM, and email them,
as attached files, to berger at cyc.ucl.ac.be within 30 days.

73,
Paul EI5DI
