The LZ DX Contest takes place from 1200 UTC on Saturday 20th
November to 1159 UTC on Sunday 21st November. Full rules at
http://www.qsl.net/lz1fw/contest/

SD directly supports this contest. V11.06 is freeware from
www.ei5di.com, and it runs on any Windows PC.

SD Setup:

Select Type 3 - IARU HF, also LZ and YU
IARU LZ YU : L
Mode : CW or SSB (your initial mode)
Mixed-Mode : Y/N (your choice)

Work everyone, on the 5 contest bands from 80m to 10m.
Exchange RS(T) and ITU Zone. LZ stations send their
2-digit district code instead of Zone.

SD scores your QSOs as
 Own continent 1
 Other continents 3
 LZ 10

I've tested the Cabrillo option from SDCHECK for this
contest, and there are a couple of bugs. I'll upload a
corrected version next week - you have 30 days to submit
the log.

If you don't want to wait, here's what you have to do.

After the contest, use SDCHECK Option 1 to create your .LOG
file in Cabrillo format.

Grid Square : Enter XXXX (not used)
Contest Name : LZ DX CONTEST 2004
HQ Station : N (not used)

Insert 59/599, as appropriate in each QSO: record before
your Zone (27) - leave a space between them. Column spacing
is not critical, but columns must be aligned vertically.

Rename your Cabrillo files as YOURCALL.LOG and email it, as
an attached file, to lzdxc at yahoo.com.

Paul EI5DI
