With WinKey enabled (with the WINKEY command) on a Win98 PC
running SD here, I see +11V on both DTR and RTS - and this is
OK for powering WinKey. With a breakout box, both the DTR and
RTS LEDs are "lit", and XMT lights as data is sent to WinKey.
For testing purpses, WinKey can be powered from a 9V PP3
battery, or from your rig's accessory socket - anything up to
13.8V is OK. In this case, you need only pins 2,3 and 5 (on a
25-pin port) between the port and WinKey.

SD uses 1200 baud when opening the WinKey port regardless of the
nominal port speed chosen. As such, it's OK to have both ports
set to 4800.
