The UBA SSB Contest takes place from 1300 UTC on Saturday 29th
January to 1259 UTC Sunday 30th January. Full rules at
http://www.uba.be/hf_contests/rules/ubatestworld_en.html
SD does NOT support this contest. You should use SDU which is
dedicated to the UBA Contest. SDU is freeware from www.ei5di.com.
It runs on any Windows PC.
The UBA organising committee recommends SDU - "We strongly encourage
participants to use a freeware log software as SDU from EI5DI... "
ON entrants - select SDU Type 1
DX entrants (outside ON) - select SDU Type 2
The contest is SSB only, on the 5 bands from 80m to 10m
QSOs with Belgian stations score 10 points,
with EU Member State stations 3 points
other stations 1 point
Work everyone, and exchange 59 and Serial. ON stations will also
give their province abbreviation. SDU lets you log serial and
province in a single field, for example 003WV (you can leave out
the leading zeros). If you prefer, you can log the two fields
separately.
Multipliers are Belgian provinces, Belgian prefixes, and DXCC
countries in the European Union. A single QSO with a Belgian
station may count as two multipliers, both prefix and province.
Unusually, the organisers want ADIF, rather than Cabrillo logs.
Use SDCHECK Option 6 to create your ADIF (.ADI) file. Next, use
SDCHECK to create a Cabrillo log, delete all the QSO data, and
rename it from .LOG to .SUM.
Rename your files to YOURCALL.ADI and YOURCALL.SUM and email them,
as attached files, to ubsssb at uba.be.

Paul EI5DI
