V11.30 is working here, and it writes the updated contents to
SD.INI.  These are loaded when you start SD regardless of
contest name - or even if you start a new contest.

I'd expect this to happen only when SD can't find SD.INI when
starting. It then creates a new SD.INI and writes the default
values to it.

Please try changing the memories, verify that the updated
messages are playing, then close SD (with END) and have a look
at SD.INI with Notepad to see if the new contents have been
recorded.
