What Tom describes does indeed happen.

However, SD's recommended options for entering keyboard mode
are Ctrl (on its own) or Alt-K (for compatibility with old
DOS loggers).

Ctrl, on its own, works only on Win2000 and later, but Alt-K
works on all versions of Windows.

In any case, I'll update SD to stop Ctrl-K putting SD into
key-down mode.
