In V15.06, the DVR (Digital Voice Recorder) command
was added to enable direct playback of recorded audio
messgaes on your rig.
This command toggles between playback of independently
recorded WAV files (if you have any), and your rig's
internal recorded messages (when supported by your
rig).
This works very nicely in combination with ESM (Enter
Sends Message) in RUN mode. Enter, in an empty
callsign field, sends your CQ (Memory 1) voice message.
Enter, following the completed exchange, sends your TU
(Memory 3) voice message. This is much easier than
having to press specific playback buttons on your rig.
This feature was first enabled for the K3. I've now
updated the rig-control files www.ei5di.com/sd/rigs.zip
for the Yaesu FT2000, FTDX5000 and FTDX9000 rigs.
If you use SD, with rig control, for any of these rigs,
I would be interested to hear if voice playback works
with them also, or if it doesn't! Also, please let me
know if Esc stops playback - it should.
Use the DVR command to enable playback from your rig.
Enable ESM (in SSB mode) with the Apostrophe key -
then press Enter to playback your pre-recorded
Memory 1 voice message.
