When I try this, Ctrl puts SD into keyboard mode,
and a second Ctrl (or Enter on Esc or Minus)
returns SD to logging mode.  This is with Windows
XP.

Agreed - though it should not be a problem if
Ctrl works.

Can anyone else comment?
