SD V15.53, on the website now, supports the
Club Calls Contest - with the rules as revised
for 2011.
Serial, Club Status and Club Abbreviation are
logged and stored as a single field, with the
three elements separated by single space
characters.
With regard to Serials, leading zeros are not
required as SD inserts them as necessary, and
holds Serials as 3 numeric characters.
The only valid logging options for Club Status
are CL, ME and NO. These are expanded in your
Cabrillo log to CLUB, MEMBER and NONE.
Club Abbreviations are 4 characters. SD does
not validate them against any list, official
or otherwise, because the abbreviations have
so significance for multiplier, bonus or
scoring purposes.
SD scores each QSO according to the Club Status
logged. When these are edited, in QSOs already
logged, the QSO score updates accordingly.
SD offers two modes for logging, Overwrite
and Insert - toggled with the Insert key.
Overwrite (shown as OVR under the Callsign
filed) is strongly recommended when editing
exchanges, as Insert may cause Club
Abbreviation characters to be lost.
If you expect to use SD in Club Calls, please
practice with test logs beforehand, especially
with edits to the exchange field (move around
with the Left and Right Arrow keys).
Club Calls is not supported by any earlier
version of SD.
Any problems. please let me know before the
contest.
73,
Paul EI5DI
