The JIDX (Japan International DX) Contest takes place
from 07:00 UTC Saturday 10th to 12:59 UTC Sunday 11th
November. It is SSB-only on the 5 contest bands from 80m
- 10m, with single and all-band sections, both HP and LP.
Rules at http://www.jidx.org/jidxrule-e.html
SD V16.06 supports this event - www.ei5di.com
Japan entrants - use the "JIDX, JA" template.
Other entrants - use the "JIDX, DX" template.
Select SSB as your mode.
DX (outside JA) work JAs only, send CQ Zone.
Japanese stations send their Prefecture Number (1-50).
DX entrants - the MAP parameters in the template file
QJIDXDX.TPL must read as follows - otherwise the Zone
you send will be missing from each QSO in your Cabrillo
log. There's no need to edit this before the contest,
as it affects only the Cabrillo QSOs.
MAP :41 3 45 'RST Sent
MAP :FIXED 0 49 'Zone Sent
MAP :27 12 56 'Call Rcvd
MAP :50 3 70 'RST Rcvd
MAP :54 8 74 'JA District Rcvd
Use SDCHECK to create your Cabrillo .LOG file, and
send it to ph at jidx.org. Please mention SD in your
Cabrillo soapbox comments, as this encourages others
to try it.
73,
Paul EI5DI
