V17.15 18 September 2013
Operating Time:
Operating time is needed for the new "Classic"
category in CQWW - with single-ops limited
to 24 hours of operation. It applies also
to WAE, WPX, and to IOTA 12-hour categories.
For all contests, your cumulative operating
time is shown under the Date and Time bar.
Time starts when the first QSO is logged.
Gaps between QSOs of 60 minutes or longer are
ignored, and time starts again from the next
QSO logged.
Seconds are not significant. A QSO logged at
12:00:59 is considered to have taken place
at 12:00:00.
The SHOWTIME command toggles the display of
operating time. The display reverts to ON
each time SD is started.
Closing SD:
The option to quit by clicking the Windows
Close button has been removed. This way,
your current parameters are always written
to SD.INI, and your operating time is held
in the .ALL file for reference by SDCHECK.
The standard way to quit is with the QUIT
or END commands in the Callsign fields in
the opening or logging screens.
CW SIDETONE:
Support for CW sidetone from the PC's internal
speaker has been discontinued.
The SIDETONE command is relevant only when
WinKey is connected - it toggles WinKey's
monitor speaker On and Off.
________________________________________
SD is free from ei5di.com - please encourage other
contesters to try it.
When you install a new version of SD, you may
have to increase the size of the default window
to fill your screen. This should be done
separately for both SD and SDCHECK.
Click on the title bar, or the SD icon, at the top
LHS of the window and select Properties, then Font.
If you have a widescreen (16:9) monitor, select the
Lucida Console font. For a 4:3 monitor, select the
Consolas font (not available on XP). Then choose
whatever size of font you prefer. SD's window
expands or contracts in direct proportion to the
chosen font size.
If you find bugs in V17.15, please send me full
details - pokane at ei5di dot com. Older versions
are not supported, so please confirm that the
problem exists in this version.
Your suggestions for changes or additions are
welcome

Paul EI5DI
