V17.33 4 April 2014

SPDX Contest:
Non-SP entrants. District Codes pre-filled on
a callsign match were displayed in the wrong
position (logging was not affected). Fixed.

When editing previously-logged QSOs, the serial
field is now skipped - no serials are received
     from SP stations.

CW - Keyboard Mode:
Previously, Ctrl toggled a switch from logging
mode to keyboard mode, and vice versa.

However, it was unreliable in that, occasionally,
it had to be pressed twice. This is how it works
     now.

     To assert Keyboard Mode:
Right Ctrl (Left Ctrl has no effect)
        Alt-K

     To return to Logging Mode:
        Alt-K
        Enter
        Esc
        Minus

CQ WPX:
The callsign 5E5E (Morocco) could not be logged
directly. The problem was not restricted to WPX.
It was caused by the VAL function in PowerBASIC
(to find the numeric value of a callsign string)
evaluating 5E5 as 5 raised to the power of 5.
     Fixed.

V17.32 27 March 2014

CQ WPX:
On a callsign match, .LST file information was
     not displayed instantly. Fixed.

The mode now corresponds to that of the template
selected. Previously, it had to be manually
     entered.

V17.31 21 March 2014

IRTS 40m Counties Contest:
Added support - both sides - EI/GI and DX. This
is a new event for 18 May 2014.

Louisiana QSO Party:
     Added support - both sides.

Oklahoma QSO Party:
Corrected the template for Oklahoma entrants.

V17.30 15 March 2014

Rig-Control:
SD switches band as necessary, corresponding to
the frequency returned while polling. If, for
any reason, this frequency did not correspond
to a valid band for the contest concerned, SD
displayed a warning message, but would then
loop until the rig was switched off, or the
     control cable was disconnected.

SD now shows the options available to the user,
     then resumes.

Idaho QSO Party
     Support added - both sides.

WINKEY Command:
This was replaced by WINKEYON and WINKEYOFF in
V17.29. Users are now shown these options when
     they use WINKEY.

Russian DX Contest:
Cosmetic changes to display the points for
     previously logged QSOs.

SD is free from ei5di.com - please encourage other
contesters to try it. One option that works well
is to leave a few words of support at eham.net.

You can see earlier reviews at
http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/522

To add your own, follow the "add your own review"
link immediately above the most recent review. You
may have to register with eHam or contesting.com
to do this.

When you install a new version of SD, you may have
to adjust the size of the default window to fill
your screen. If necessary, do this for both SD and
SDCHECK.

Click on the title bar, or the SD icon, at the top
LHS of the window and select Properties, then Font.
If you have a widescreen (16:9) monitor, select the
Lucida Console font. For a 4:3 monitor, select the
Consolas font (not available on XP). Then choose
whatever size of font you prefer. SD's window
expands or contracts in direct proportion to the
chosen font size.

If you find bugs in V17.33, please send me the
details - pokane at ei5di dot com. Older versions
are not supported, so please confirm that the
problem exists in V17.33.

Please let me have your suggestions for changes
or additions or support for new contests.

73,
Paul EI5DI
