V17.27 23 January 2014

British Columbia QSO Party:
Added support (CW and SSB only) for both sides of
     the BCQP.

REF Contest;
Restored the display of QSO points while logging.

CQ 160m Contest:
Restored the display of QSO points while logging.

UBA Contest:
Updated UBA.CTY to fix a formatting error, and
to correct scoring and multiplier tracking.
Non-European Union countries do not count as
mults for entrants outside Belgium. This is
managed by setting the continent of all such
     countries to AN in UBA.CTY.

COM Ports for Rig Control and Keying:
By default, SD asserts DTR and RTS on rig-control
ports. This enables either DTR or RTS to be used
to power external rig-control level converters.

When using certain external USB-Serial controllers,
RTS and DTR being asserted caused a conflict with
SD's internal keying on any other port (WinKey is
     not affected).

The command RIGPOWER (or CATPOWER) toggles DTR/RTS
On or Off. The settings are permanent until the
     command is next used.

V17.26 15 January 2014

HA DX:
Added support for the HA side. Both sides, HA
and DX (non-HA), are now supported.

LZ Open:
Fixed the display of Exchange Sent on the logging
line. Previously, it was not all visible when
     typing calls.

V17.25 9 January 2014

NAQP:
Updated Cabrillo, in SDCHECK, for consistent
formats for both NA and DX (non-NA) QSOs.

DARC 10m Contest:
Improvements to display of QSOs logged.

V17.24 8 January 2014

OKOM DX SSB Contest:
Added support for both sides. This is a new
event on 12/13 April 2014, with different
rules from the existing OKOM (CW) contest.
Everyone works everyone, with extra points
for OK/OM QSOs. Mults are OK/OM districts
and countries by band. Thanks OK1RI.

V17.23 2 January 2014

QSO Rates:
Restored the "Overall" figure in the QSO Rate
window. It is calculated as total operating
time (in hours) divided by the QSO total.
Time Off (periods of 60 minutes or more) is
     not included in operating time.

ARRL 10m Contest:
Where callsigns logged matched entries in the
country multiplier file (DXCC.CTY) having non-
standard CQ Zones, a spurious US State was
recorded. Fixed - this was caused by broken
     code in V17.22.

RAEM Contest:
Fixed Cabrillo format errors in the template
     QRAEM.TPL. Thanks GM4SID.

Stew Perry Contest:
Fixed missing Locator in logged QSOs.

V17.22 12 December 2013

Country (.CTY) files.
They now conform to the standards in CTY.DAT
(from Jim AD1C at country-files.com). They
do not work with earlier versions of SD.

Should it ever be necessary, to be certain of
having an up-to-date file, CTY.DAT may be
     downloaded and renamed as CQWW.CTY.

     SD's CQWW.CTY and DXCC.CTY files include non-
standard CQ and ITU zones which SD pre-fills,
on a callsign match, in contests with zones
     in the exchange.

ARRL 10m Contest:
The first QSOs with the US, Canada & Mexico
were counted, incorrectly, as country mults
on both CW and SSB. Fixed.

SD is free from ei5di.com - please encourage other
contesters to try it.

When you install a new version of SD, you may have
to increase the size of the default window to fill
your screen. This should be done separately for
both SD and SDCHECK.

Click on the title bar, or the SD icon, at the top
LHS of the window and select Properties, then Font.
If you have a widescreen (16:9) monitor, select the
Lucida Console font. For a 4:3 monitor, select the
Consolas font (not available on XP). Then choose
whatever size of font you prefer. SD's window
expands or contracts in direct proportion to the
chosen font size.

If you find bugs in V17.27, please send me the
details - pokane at ei5di dot com. Older versions
are not supported, so please confirm that the
problem exists in this version.

Please let me have your suggestions for changes or
additions. If you don't ask, it may not happen.

73,
Paul EI5DI
