[SD-User] SD V22.26 - and Contests this Weekend

SD V22.26 adds support for the Silent Key Memorial Contest
(SKMC).  This is CW-only on 40 and 80m - from 0600 to 0859z
on Saturday 1st November.

The exchange is 5NN plus the call sign of the SK you choose
to honour.

It's one point per QSO, and mults are unique SK calls by

UKEI DX SSB Contest:
V22.26 adds an up-to-date Call History file - to pre-fill
many UK and EI district codes.

The contest is SSB-only on the five contest bands from 80
to 10m - from 1200z Saturday to 1159z Sunday. It's
everyone-works-everyone, with country mults and UK/EI
district mults.

The exchange is Serial + District Code (UK/EI entrants only).
There is no requirement to exchange 59 - so why do it?

Some hints about logging UK/EI exchanges: When SD pre-fills
the district code, type the serial only - followed by Enter.
When the district code is not pre-filled, SD expects the
exchange to be entered as a single field (no spaces). For
example 106AB will be logged as 106 AB in their respective
fields. You can enter the fields separately if you prefer,
but why do it?

SD V22.26 is free from www.ei5di.com.

When replacing an older version of SD, take care to "untick"
the box corresponding to "Create a desktop icon" during the
installation process.  Otherwise you may have to resize SD's
window, and set other parameters as described in GETTING
STARTED on page 3 of the manual SD.PDF.

If you're running Windows 11, and SD will not run (or if
the colours or layout are not what you might expect, you must
refer to Pages 3/4 of the current manual sd.pdf - included
with V22.26. These are Windows 11 issues, unrelated to my
code for SD. You'll need to carefully follow the info between
"Legacy Console Host" and "Running SD".  This only has to be
done once on your PC.

Before any CW contest, check your Function Key message
contents and edit the parameters as necessary - they are not
updated automatically for each contest.

Use Shift_F1, F2 as appropriate to edit the parameters.

If you find bugs in V22.26, report them to sd-user (at)
contesting.com.  Earlier versions are not supported.
