K4NO:  Watch it, Greg - you're skating on thin ice there with that
conversation about SS Checks! Just kidding!  Some of us old timers will
tell you that W9IOP is evidently a reissue or club call, originally
belonged to Larry, W9IOP, who was a perennial SS winner, located in
Indiana, a contemporary of W8DUS (now K4FW) at Electrovoice.  He also
held W2IOP which later became W2AB (I believe, K4BAI will correct me if
wrong.)  And yes, he did invent the "wheel," or Second Op.

Thus endeth the history lesson!
