Although I'm a pretty good typist, there are other things happening on
the keyboard -- here are two tricks I use to avoid screwing up as my
concentration grows dim:

1) I mark important keys with a small piece of colored tape. I have a strip
of black tape under the word "Insert" on that key and a red marker on the
CQ Function key. For Sprint, there are two exchange keys that I mark
to help me find them without thinking.

You may decide to mark other keys while you are learning -- CW speed,
keyboard CW mode, "+" key, Band UP/DN, grab packet spot, etc.

2) I have a paper template taped above the F-keys to remind me which
key has which message. When I used CT, this template also had the
<ALT> <SHIFT> and <CTRL> commands!
