The effort here turned into a SOSB HP Assisted for 40M.
After a few Qs on 20M the switch to 40M was made.
I will put in a check log for the 20M contacts,
and submit the 40M score of 115,018 for the contest.

QSOs Points Zs Ctry Mults Score

No new tricks here, FT1000mp/AL572/500W/G5RV.
About 20 hrs operated.

I did not send a single call, even mine, by hand key.
I did not type very many calls into Writelog.
During the few band sweeps for "Search", only about 20 or 30 contacts were
made, which did have to be hand entered.
In the assisted class, I was again jumping spots from the net, "Pouncing".
So software did the entry, which only had to be confirmed as right by ear.
There were many busted entries on the spots,
so you did have to copy CW to get them right.
And, you did have to copy CW to know when the contact was right, and over.
This is pretty near "digital".

Speeds were around 28wpm on my setting of Writelog.
Many of the "Run" operators were going faster, probably 30 to 36wpm.
I am good copy up to about 36wpm,
Copy is easier when the content is so limited and set in a pattern.
However, my comfort zone is around the 28wpm that so many do use.
I don't think it gets those stations much advantage to go that fast.
Also the speed changes to fast bursts for the report seem pointless.
But, each little helper probably seems useful to those ops.
It all well may add up to the high scores they turn in.

These notes are not any complaints, just observations on my own.

Many time when I jumped a new spot, Neil, K4EA had jumped it too.
Only seconds after a new telnet entry showed up we both were "on" it.
I heard Neil a lot, hope he did well.
Mostly he got the Q first. Hi.

Again, you can count on a lot of "blab" from NE4S.
I should post a "<long winded note follows!>" notice.

It was fun, and since it was mostly at night,
my karma account is mostly the same.
