Hello all:

I guess I was the only mobile in Alabama last weekend. So, not much
suspense on the results, but since I have figured them out, I will
report them.

County QSOs	Pts	Mults Score
				7 14	21
Lee 12	14	1 9 140
Russell 36	37	2 20	2	888
Barbour 70	70 18	23	2,870
Henry 46	47	1 22 6	1,363
Dale 43	44	1 25	3	1,276
Coffee 26	26 18 468
Pike 41	41	2 27	1	1,230

7 counties	174	279	5 44	27	21,204.

Alinco DX70 at 100 watts and mobile whip on KO4RR's pick up truck.
Single op. No driver or other assistance.

Tried 40, 20, and 15 from each county. Tried once on 10 M. Heard on CW
only weak TX stations and could not get a reply. WA4PXP in NC asked me
to QSY and heard nothing from him. QRM on the 40-meter CW band from
the RTTY contest was impossible after late afternoon. The two stations
worked on 40 from the last county were worked on 7101 on a QSY to a
frequency spotted by WA4PXP. Antenna won't load on 80 CW and didn't try
75 SSB. No QRN. No weather problems. Lovely day to mobile around.
Sorry there is not more activity and interest in this contest. I
suspect if the TX (and LA) contests were not also running there would be
very few callers. Although, it was obvious that a lot of very active
TQP callers never called me. (N6MU for example.)

I will be out of town for a few days this week and will be back Sunday.
Hope everyone has a good week.

73,

John, K4BAI(/M).
