Try hooking the coax and shield together, if you have a tuner, adjust it
accordingly.  If no tuner,  hook it on and see if you get lucky.  In
anycase you will certainly do better than using the 80 as a dipole for 160.

I am running the contest,   Right now I am s & p.  Later on I'll go into cq.
