Some of that stuff is older than dirt...

Notice I was careful not to say you're older than dirt..

RTTY? RTTY? Hmmmm, let's see, I have a model 19 teleprinter made by
Teletype Corp complete with metal desk, tape punch, and 200 lb power
supply with 866A mercury vapor rectifiers around here
somewhere.....maybe its under the Kleinschmidts, over near the heap'o
T-23 ARC-5s! I WILL need to oil the clutches.....

The TU with 88 mH toroids will need a dusting off.... I can find a scope
with a P7 phosphor somewhere to hook across them and tune for 850 Hz
shift, although 2125 and 2975 Hz are burned into my ear/brain-bank. The
12AX7s are probably still okay...

The magnets in the polar relays may need some adjusting, but that's more
an adventure than a chore.

I will probably set the family electric fan to blowing on the 6146
finals, as they were never intended to stay key-down for more than a few
seconds. The 5763 AM modulators can take a rest for the weekend...

Thank goodness I replaced the exciter's selenium rectifiers with a 5U4GB
last year, I don't think I could take the smell of another exploded
selenium job one more time....

HNY to all... ;-)

Ever feel like a voice crying in the wilderness? You can lead them to
RTTY,
but you can't make them type (or better yet, make them press the correct
Function keys)

Just for clarification, it's the ARRL RTTY Roundup that is on for this
coming weekend (not the RTTY NAQP).

I'll be in there Ed. Hope to work you.

Kent, AE4Y
