Hey Roger:

This year I will be able to join you for field day.
Our travel has been rearranged a lot, but we are home then.
Count me in as a CW participant.
I think that makes 2-3 on CW so far.
We could use more.

I will keep up with the messages on the Yahoo site.

Mike, NE4S

Subject: [SECC] Field Day Help Needed

Hey everyone!

Our FD experiences started 3 years ago with myself and two others. Every
year, the effort has grown. This year, we are planning on a 6A operation,
with a dedicated VHF station and a GOTA station.

Where we have always been lacking is in the CW department. We are in
desperate need for some CW ops to come out and help us out.

The FD location is in Paulding County, about a mile outside of Hiram.
Anyone interested in coming out and playing? I'm including a copy of the
email we sent out to past participants FYI. If you want to see some great
pics from the past couple of years, or want to keep up with the progress for
this year, please feel free to join our Yahoo group. The link is:

We have most all the equipment, now we need ops. We can and will go to 7A
if we get enough interest. We are in this fore the fun of it, since this is
the non-contest contest, but it would be great to rack up a good score.

And, don't feel like we only want CW OPS, we just are looking for ops that
can work CW. As always, everyone will have toe opportunity to work all the
stations and modes, Including the dedicated AO-40 station that we are
planning.

Thanks, and just drop me a note if you are interested!

Hey gang!

Field Day is now one month away! If you haven't already, mark your
calendars. Field Day is June 28-29.

Also a reminder, we will be going to the FD site on Saturday, June
21 to trim branches to allow access for RVs, make final site layout
decisions, and cut the grass where we'll be setting up. Any help
would be appreciated--should only take a couple hours if we get a
good-sized crew.

Current plan is to operate 6A: one CW station (10-80), one digital
station (10-80), and phone stations on 10/80, 15/160, 20, and 40.
We have beams for 6, 10, 15, 20, CW (tribander), and digital
(tribander). We'll also have the GOTA station (Get-On-The-Air
station for novice/Tech ops), VHF/UHF station, and satellite
station. Camp setup will begin Thursday and station/antenna setup
begins 2pm Friday and hopefully will be complete by dark on Friday.
Operation begins at 2pm on Saturday.

In a couple weeks we'll start making more detailed plans for setup,
teardown, and operating. Be thinking about when you plan to be at
the site so we can factor your plans into the "master plan". As
requested last year, we'll take a shot at scheduling operators so we
will all know when we'll be operating and when we won't so we can
schedule rest time, visitors, etc. accordingly. I'll be soliciting
information in mid-June regarding when you plan to be at the site
and preferences for bands and modes you want to operate.

Looking forward to a fun Field Day! See ya there!
