I listended about 9 pm last night bands sounds terrible..

I have found that spending alot of time working guys on 80 is a waste...
unless you are SO2R. We are at least 700 miles away down here and the
midwest and east coast just stomp over you when you are in a small pileup..
You might have a good signal over S9 up there but sometimes that's not good
enough. I the past two CW Sweepstakes 20 meters has been open to the East
Coast until almost midnight.
