John and others....

I have been thinking about this all day... If you read the SECC webpage it says our club was built around the concept of us communicating via the Internet using a reflector. That reflector , along with the SECC, SEDXC, GQP and others outside the club has always been supported by W4AN, both physically and financially. We all owe Bill a lot for something that I think we all take for granted that has increased our enjoyment of our hobby. Will everything continue
to go on as it is now or will it change ?? I'm sure no one is sure what is going to happen. As a contingency I will be coping all the source files for the
SECC and GQP webpages to the hard drive of my computer when I get home tonight, just in case they stop working. In the unfortunate case that everything stops working we have other options on where these websites will be hosted.

John also mentioned if we should dedicate the GQP in the memory of W4AN. I have been thinking about maybe postponing the GQP this weekend out of respect
to Bill and his family. We shouldn't take this decision lightly and I think it should be a club decision. If we do we need to act fast so we can get the word out. Please send your feedback to the SECC relector ASAP.

Also, I think it should be a given that the SECC should nominate W4AN for consideration the the CQ Contesting Hall of Fame. It is too late for this year
but we can do it for next year....

                       73, Jeff
