I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thought this.  I keep seeing
commnents about great propagation for IARU on the 3830 list, but the
first session I was on (about 1640Z to 1740Z), propagation seemed pretty
bleak - I only heard one signal outside of NA from 20 thru 10.  Maybe I
just hit the one bad hour of the contest.  Propagation during my
half-hour session at 0400 seemed much better, though.  I was surprised
to hear ZL coming in S9 on 20.  With my bedsprings-brigade level
antennas, that's unusual.
