Hello all:

Here are the contests for this weekend. A small list, probably because
this is a five weekend month.

a. ARCI (also known as QRPARCI) Fall QSO Party. 12Z Sat to 24Z Sun.
Maximum of 24 hours. CW only. 160 - 10 M. Exchange: RST + SPC + ARCI
member number or power output. QSO stations once per band and
multipliers count per band. Calling frequencies: 1810, 3560, 7040,
14060, 21060, 28060. Operate from minus 10 to plus 5 of these
frequencies. Leave the calling frequencies free for crystal controlled
stations. Avoid FISTS frequencies (058) and CHN on 14056.5. On line
entry required from webpage as well as log and summary sheet. If using
NA, you must edit the summary sheet. If you fall in this category,
e-mail me directly and I'll explain what must be done.

2. W/VE Islands QSO Party. 16Z Sat to 2359Z Sun. "NonPhone and
Phone." Exchange: RS(T) + USI/CISA # + island name or SPC. 160 - 10
M. I have never heard any CW activity in this contest, but there seems
to be a fair amount of activity in it on 20 M SSB.

3. 50 Mhz Fall Sprint. 23Z Sat to 03Z Sun. 6M. Exchange: 4
character grid square. Logs go to WA4NJP in Gillsville, GA!

4. FISTS Coast-to-Coast Contest. 00Z to 24Z Sun. CW. 80-10 M.
Around FISTS spot frequencies: 058 on each band. Exchange: RST + Name
+ SPC + FISTS number or power output (including "w"). This is to work
FISTS Club stations only. There is a list of registered FISTS club
stations that can be accessed from the website. Club stations will send
CQ C2C. http://www.tomochka.com/k7fff/fnw_c2c04.html.

I haven't got anything together for the Columbus club to work the C2C
FISTS contest, so I'll probably do SO2R in the QRP club contest running
5 watts on all bands. Hope some of the rest of you will join in the
fun. It is more fun if you run QRP, but you can give out contest points
to QRPers no matter what power you are running.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

73,

John, K4BAI.
