Subject: [SECC] ARRL 175-mi contest circle for SECC

The following maps are of SECC members in or near the ARRL contest
circle centered on Hog Mtn, Buford, GA, based on last night's membership
list that was on the website.

I had difficulty reading the coordinates from the circle map on the
website. I used 34d 07m 33s and 84d 00m 26s. If this is incorrect,
please email the correct coordinates to me. I let MS MapPoint,
http://www.microsoft.com/mappoint/, translated the DMS coordinates to
DD.dddd; I didn't check to see if it was done correctly.

(KU8E & K4BAI: I deleted the prelim maps from my website. Use these.
--K4AQ)

1. Basic 175-mi circle:

2. Pushpins of some of the "almost in the circle or close to the border"
members:

Some addresses disagreed with QRZ.com. Are they mailing vs physical
addresses? (The SECC database needs to be updated.)

Pushpins could be located more accurately if coordinates were used
instead of addresses. Maybe K4SB can glean this info from one of the
online callsign databases and add it as a field to the SECC database.

Note: I used zip code locations for those addresses that could not be
found on the map. (Software is MS MapPoint 2004.)

The circle can be moved easily in this software. (Low-cost trial version
is available at http://www.microsoft.com/mappoint/2004/trial.mspx. If
interested in purchasing your own copy, contact me for where I got
mine.)
