The ARRL Executive Committee has just published the proposed ARRL
petition to segment the bands by bandwidth instead of by mode.

Just a general comment. Included in the petition is a small item which
would seem to grant the ARRL authority to make its "bandplans" as FCC
law.

Comments may be sent to bandwidth at arrl.org and to your Division
Director.
