Thanks, all,
for the good wishes expressed for my volunteering to take the GQP from Jeff.

Having done this before, I know what there is to do, and look forward to it.

For the upcoming GQP, let's keep Jeff as the main man, as he really wanted
someone for next year.  I will be glad to do anything he asks though, and
will start to get the web connections going.  The first things to do may be
the rover county listings.  So send them to Jeff, or me as a backup. Jeff,
pass on to me anything you care to.

The main change is that I will score this coming current GQP, and we have
changed the web site to reflect the email for logs to my address.  K4BAI is
going to collect any mailed logs and get them to me.  I will do my best to
score and report in a timely manner, as I have done before.

For next year, I plan to catch up with any current advertising plans, and
add my own ideas for getting the word out to the community of hams who enjoy
this activity.  I may get some of this done for this GQP.  Over all I have
no plans for major changes, only to make the event more popular and gain
participants both in GA and out of state.

I cannot emphasize enough the need for us to get on the air and put Georgia
stations out there for the party.  We should get logs from most of the SECC
and SEDXC members in any case.

Our THANKS to Jeff KU8E for saving GQP in the last couple years, we owe him
a lot for taking the reins at a difficult time.
