For a free program the N1MM is a very nice The only time I have had it lock up is
when I first tried to use the LPT port for CW keying. There is a special file you have to download
to use the LPT1 port. See http://n1eu.tripod.com/n1mm/MMKeying.htm .

For you RTTY contesters it interfaces very well with MMTTY. You can program macros in the F keys -
like you would for CW. MMTTY just runs in the background. It also has a SO2V (single op 2 vfo) mode which works will if you are not setup for SO2R but have radio control via the computer.

The only complaint is that it has no way to check if you worked stations on another band when you are running. All it has is a check partial. The way the windows are layed out it is very similar to Writelog. (Maybe a poor man's Writelog ??)

It has just about every contest - more than both NA and CT , which is also a plus. It is also easy to
interface to your soundcard to have a voicekeyer.... but I haven't tried to yet.

For someone who wants to do a DX contest and just work packet spots it's great. Just click on the bandmap to move the radio to the desired frequency.
