I will be out of town again this week. Hope some of you will join in
the fun and make the GA and AL and SC mults available. 73, John.

Wk 2 of Spring/summer Madness, the 2006 Thursday NCCC
Sprint (NS) Ladder Competition is tomorrow from
1930-2000 PDST (0230-0300Z Friday).

Please join us for a fun-filled, high rate half hour of
contest activity.

Logging S/W: Howie, N4AF, has taken pity on us and
designed a great NS score calculator. The recipe is as follows:

1) Log the contest with the NCJ NA Sprint CW module of your
favorite program.
2) Generate a Cabrillo file (it will contain the dupes).
3) Go to ncccsprint.com/ click on " Software, NS Score
Calculator" and download the program NSL.exe as a zip file.
4) Run nsl.exe with log file as a parameter to calculate your
NS Ladder score and then report results to:
http://www.hornucopia.com/3830score/

Let us (n6zfo at arrl.net) know how this works for you, and
any special requirement that you would like to see
when s/w modules are designed for the NS (shortly).

Great turn out last week with rates of ~100/hr for N6RO, W9RE
and KQ7W. Interestingly, however, in only one case (RO) was
the highest rate associated with the highest score in the respective
division.

Results (actually at the moment part of the results )
are posted at www.ncccsprint.com/results.htm

Give NS a try . . we guarantee you will be challenged, and
probably you will have great fun. In the words of one of our
participants: "Thursday evenings have gone from routine to Fun".
Remember, you can use NS Ladder as as 'laboratory' to try your
station enhancements this summer, learn SO2R, or just practice
general contest skills. Also great for QRP: no KW competition.

73 Bill, N6ZFO
Contest Director, NCCC Sprint Ladder (NSL-III)
