In case you don't subscribe to the cq-contest reflector, I am forwarding
this message about an opening at PJ2T. The other ops who were signed up
for CQ WW CW this year were really first class ops. I don't know if one
has dropped out or if they are seeking one additional op. With the
current air fare sale on, it would be a great opportunity. I did this
in 2003. Geoff, W0CG and his wife are excellent hosts. You will likely
stay at the nearby hotel, which was the location for many a M/M and M/S
operation from Curacao for many years, including years that I
participated, 1969, 1970, 1973, 1979, 1981, and 1982 and a single op,
single band effort in 1980.

I do have one caveat to mention. If you are interested in applying,
please contact me directly.

73,

John, K4BAI.

The PJ2T CQWW CW Team has an opening for a good CW contest operator. We
will be a Multi-2
operation.

Please let me know of your interest (with a short description of your
contest experience)
at "k8nd @ arrl.net". (take out the spaces around the ampersand).

A "fare sale" underway at American Airlines makes airfare low for travel
to Curacao during
the week of Thanksgiving/CQWW CW (less than $440 roundtrip from Columbus
OH, for example).

In addition to airfare, the operator will share in Team station expenses
and contest food
costs, and will have individual expenses for his/her accommodation and
non-contest food.
Details available on request. All radios, amps, antennas and accessories
are in place, so
just bring yourself and your skills (and your favorite headphones, if
you want). The four
station positions are available for use by all ops before and after the
contest.

The Signal Point PJ2T station is owned and operated by the Caribbean
Contesting Consortium
(CCC), and membership is by invitation. One prerequisite to being
invited to join CCC is
participation in a PJ2T contest operation.

Curacao is a wonderful place to be in November, and being on the
receiving end of a PJ2T
pileup in CQWW CW is not to be missed!
