This weekend, of course, is the CQ WW DX Contest, SSB. It runs the full
48 hours of Sat and Sun UTC. (Local time moves an hour back early
Sunday morning.) 160-10M. Exchange: RS + CQ Zone (05 in GA and 04 in AL).

2. 10-10 Club Fall CW/Digital Contest. Also all 48 hours of Sat/Sun
UTC. Exchange: Name + SPC + 10-10 # (if you have one).

3. Extreme CW (XCW) World Wide Challenge. Also all 48 hours of Sat/Sun
UTC, but you may not exceed 24 hours and the minimum off period is two
hours. 40 meter CW, limited to 7005 to 7035. Minimum QSO info:
"Meaningful" RST + power plus the letter W. So, for a strong station,
"599 100W," or "599 5W," etc. The rules specifically prohibit giving
the same report to all stations worked.

4. NCCC Thursday Night Practice is tonight 0230-0300 UTC. Use SS CW
rules. You can run HP, LP, or QRP and duplicates are not permitted.
Try to get on and check out your SS CW setup so any bugs can be caught
and eliminated ahead of time. Look around 035-045 on the main CW
contest bands.

Next week, I will be out of town early Wednesday through late Saturday.
Please let me have your claimed scores by mid-day Tuesday and I'll try
to get a posting done before I leave the office Tuesday. The first
weekend in November will bring the ARRL SS CW, the High Speed CW Club
Contest, and the Ukranian DX Contest. Monday night local Nov. 6 is the
monthly Spartan Sprint and Tuesday night local Nov 7 is the Straight Key
Century Club Sprint. Check the WA7BNM or SM3CER Contest Calendars for
full information if I don't anything posted before that weekend.

Have a lot of fun and many QSOs this weekend! 73, John, K4BAI.
