This Weekend's Contests:

1. FISTS Get Your Feet Wet Weekend. 00Z Friday to 24Z Sun (72 hours).
80-10M CW. Exchange: RST + Name + SPC + FISTS # or power + last two
digits of year licensed. No memory keyers or computers or code readers.
Regular paddle OK. Call: "CQ FC." New stations (self defined) send
callsign /N. Experienced stations send callsign /E. Suggested
frequencies: 3610, 7110, 14110, 21110, 28110. (Seems they should have
selected 3710 instead, but 3610 is not a typo in my message.) Slow down
and help some new CW ops or new contesters.

2. Scandinavian Activities Contest, CW. 12Z Sat to 12Z Sun. 80-10M
CW. RST + Serial #.

3. South Carolina QSO Party. 13Z Sat to 21Z Sun. CW/Phone/Digital.
160M through 440 mHz. Serial # + SC County or SPC. Bonus points for
QSOs with N2ZZ and KF4GHC. Power multipliers. Use cabrillo or official
forms downloaded from website.

4. New England QRP Club QRP Afield Contest. 15Z Sat - 03Z Sun. (use
best 6 hours). RST + SPC + NE QRP Club # or power out. Rules on
website appear to be for last year.

5. Washington State Salmon Run. 16Z Sat - 07Z Sun; 16-24Z Sun.
CW/Digital + SSB 160-6M. RST + Washington County or SPC. Bonus for QSO
on each mode with W7DX. The link to the rules from the WA7BNM contest
calendar doesn't work. The one from the SM3CER calendar does work.
Prize of smoked salmon offered for highest score in call area.

6. QCWA Fall QSO Party. 18Z Sat - 18Z Sun. 160-UHF. CW/Phone/Mixed.
Exchange: Last Two Digits of Year Licensed + QCWA Chapter # or SPC.
Non members welcome.

7. North American Sprint, Phone. 00-04Z Sun (Sat night local). 75,
40, 20 SSB. Exchange both calls + QSO # + Name + SPC. Special QSY
rule. I haven't seen the announcement yet, but the NCCC practice
sessions this week, Thursday and Friday, 0230-0300Z will probably be by
the SSB Sprint rules.

8. Flying Pigs QRP Club September Run for the Bacon. 01-03Z Mon (Sun
night local). 160-10M CW. 5 watts maximum. Exchange RST + SPC + FP
member number or power output.

That should be enough to keep us busy this weekend. If anyone has a
good e-mail address for K4AMC or K4LTA, please let me know what it is.

Have a good weekend, a lot of fun, and many QSOs.

73,

John, K4BAI.
