Hello all:  Conditions seemed pretty good at the beginning, but it took
time for anyone to find me.  I was transmitting on 14051 and listening
up about 1 kHz.  Never had huge pileups like in previous hunts, but
eventually worked 71 hounds.  The callers didn't drop off as
dramatically as usual after time passed.  At 0149, there seemed to be no
more split frequency callers, so I went to simplex.  A few still called
up in frequency and I picked them up when no one called on my own
frequency.  At 0159Z LU7YZ called a few CQs on my transmit frequency and
I moved up 600 Hz.  The zepp never outperformed the TH6, no matter which
way the antenna was pointed, so I made no QSOs on the zepp.  I started
out with the beam NE trying to get the close in stations before the band
went long.  But, even then, I got a lot of calls from the West.  I guess
the southwest was almost off the back of the beam.  Eventually, turned
the beam NW, then W, and then back to the North and Northeast toward the
end when the Western callers died out.  Hope I didn't miss anyone.  Many
stations were very strong.  Weakest signal worked was K9IUA.  Way to
hang in there, Kevin.  QRN picked up in the last half hour, but I didn't
hear anyone calling that I couldn't identify.  Thanks for the fun.  73,
