[SECC] First Reports to 3830 on Ladder Event #1

Hello all: I am still trying to stir up more interest in the Thursday
night Sprint practices and specifically in the current Ladder series
that just began last night. These run from 0230 to 0259Z Fridays on 20,
40, and 80 CW. 100W is maximum output. NA Sprint rules are used except
the QSY rule is just one kHz and multipliers are counted PER band
instead of per contest. Also, duplicates are permitted after a band
change or after one intervening QSO. A lot of activity in a
geographical area helps a lot by making a large number of QSOs possible
even when propagation to the other sides of the country isn't too good.
This is great practice for the real NA Sprints and excellent practice
for anyone interested in SO2R operating on CW. The reports to 3830 are
often very informative and often result in follow-up e-mails from other
participants. These guys listed here and a few others will soon become
your friends. You will remember their names and they will remember
yours. It will really liven up Thursday nights in your hamshack! Check
the Northern California Contest Club for links to all the current
information! 73, John, K4BAI.
